Building Automation

HVAC, Inc. is an innovator in the field of commercial and industrial automation and controls, with a dedicated in-house building automation division offering design, installation, service and low voltage networking for a complete computer-based automation solution. Our Controls Division is highly skilled in building management and automation, direct digital control (DDC), zoned comfort control and security.

Control resources allow HVAC, Inc. to monitor the electrical, mechanical and comfort systems either from your location or from the HVAC offices, managing zoned comfort settings, monitoring energy efficiency, controlling lighting and electrical systems and troubleshooting, as well as directing on-site maintenance personnel. The system can be configured to automatically send information via email, or to send an alarm to a pager or other device if there are deviations from acceptable conditions. System parameters can be changed from the computer, or via the internet.

Although building automation can be used to control many facility operations, the area with the most significant return on investment is the control of HVAC systems. A building automation system can be programmed for hundreds of routines in as many different zones.

The HVAC, Inc. building automation team recently completed a controls system for the Bristol Motor Speedway and the Bristol Dragway. At the Dragway, an automation system controls the heating and cooling system, adjusting temperature levels accordingly so energy savings are realized when the building is closed, but the facility is comfortable and climate-controlled during events. At the Bristol Motor Speedway, HVAC, Inc. installed the sophisticated controls system that allows all 105 suites to remain at the exact temperature the suite owner sets.

Building automation is the brain that keeps today's smart facilities alive. Whether you are returning early from vacation, and want to turn your porch light on from your computer on the road, or you want 180,000 fans comfortable in the interior areas of one of the nation's largest sporting venues, our automation experts manage, service and design systems that fit the needs of each unique user.
