First TVA Generation Partners/BTES Solar Array Goes Online

BLUFF CITY, TN — The First Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Generation Partners, and Bristol Tennessee Essential Services (BTES) renewable energy source solar array went online at 11am this morning as Dr. Mike Browder, CEO of BTES personally switched on the system. HVAC Inc., Bristol, Tennessee, installed the array at the residence of James Edd and Becky Hill, located at 266 Harkleroad Rd., Bluff City, TN. Hill, owner of HVAC Inc., wanted to demonstrate the capabilities of solar by using his own residence as a model home. The 6-kilowatt, 30-panel solar array, under the right conditions, can generate power over 9 hours per day, according to Hill.
